Projects

Gold Rock 100% owned by Goldeye Explorations Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Treasury Metals Inc.

Location

The Gold Rock Property is located 38 km south of Dryden, Ontario, is accessible by road and trail and is within several km of powerlines. The property can be accessed from Dryden by travelling 6 km west on Highway 594, then turning south onto Highway 502. Travel Highway 502 for approximately 60 km where a gravel trail (11 km) leads to the historic town site of Gold Rock.

Deposit Types

The Gold Rock property was obtained by Goldeye Explorations in 2002 and minor work carried out in 2003. There are 3 known gold occurrences in the eastern third of the Goldrock property discovered by surface prospecting. The balance of the property is also highly prospective for gold as favourable lithologies and structures are present, but this area has not been extensively explored.

3 types of Gold mineralization identified:

  1. Au associated with Quartz veins, stringers and stockwork within dikes
  2. Au associated with Py within the felsic dikes
  3. Au associated with sheared volcanics adjacent to dike contacts

Mesothermal Lode Gold deposit with Vein type and shear zone deposits have been noted in the Gold Rock area, consisting of coarse to cherty quartz with feldspar, carbonate, tourmaline, serecite/chlorite and gold in up to ~5% sulphides (Pyrite, Pyrrhotite, Arsenopyrite, Chalcopyrite, Sphalerite and Galena).
There may be a possible structural relationship between dikes and gold mineralization in 3 local historically producing gold mines.

Exploration on Adjacent Properties

Gold occurrences are also known on adjacent properties. There has been historical Au production from 1880-1943 of 376.4 Kg Au from the following sites: Big Master - 2565oz, Laurentian - 8143oz, Elora - 1370oz

Local work on adjacent properties includes:

  • 10,000+ meters of underground drilling
  • Several shafts on properties up to 200 metres depth shaft with up to 1500 metres of lateral development
  • Manitou Gold’s actively explored Kenwest and Gaffney Projects where several high-grade gold showings have been intercepted, including 53.7 kg/t over 0.55 metres in 2011.
